Alternative Services-Connecticut, Incorporated is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing innovative supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities and families and children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Alternative Services, Inc. (ASI) is a non-profit organization originally founded in 1978 in Michigan. Since then, ASI has expanded to several branches throughout the nation-one of which is located in the state of Connecticut. The Connecticut branch of ASI began operation in 1989. Alternative Services-Connecticut, Inc. (ASI-CT) is dedicated to providing quality support for people of all ages and all abilities. ASI-CT has one goal in mind: Support the individuals we serve.

ASI is currently providing Community Living Arrangements, In-Home supports, and individualized day service option programs in the North and South Regions of the state. We operate a central administration office in Colchester for the purpose of overall administrative and fiscal supervision. ASI has one satellite office located in the South Region in Norwich. This office provides 24 hour back up support to some people receiving In-Home supports.

  • Establishing a balance between an individual's health and safety and what's most important to them.
  • Coordinating support with family and significant others.
  • Providing Quality Assurance Reviews in all programs on a scheduled, on-going basis.

Our services include 24-hour residential support for adults and children, in- home supports in the person's own home or family home, individualized day service options, Healthcare coordination and behavior consultation.

All ASI-CT teams receive ongoing support and supervision from the following agency directors:
